When Dar Al-Fikr for Publishing and Distribution printed the Arabic translation of Michael Ende’s German novel “Momo”, a novel that has become a legend in Germany, and it is one of the best productions of international children’s literature. We transformed this event to a series of artistic activities to encourage children ages 8 and older to read.

Interactive theater classroom performance for 4th graders: The performance presented a small part of the novel and engaged the children in the play to encourage them to read the whole story.
it was performed more than 100 times between 2004 and 2006 at UNRWA schools in Damascus ‘Ein Al-Tal’ and ‘Nairab’ camps in Aleppo, in the World Book and Copyright Day along with the release of the audio CD ‘Momo’ in the Arab Cultural Center in Damascus, April 2005, and in Children’s Theatre Festival 2005,

Audio CD for blind children and teenagers: The CD was released in the World Book and Copyright Day 2005 in the Arab Cultural Center in Damascus.
In the same year, Goethe Institute in Damascus organized a CD listening session for associations of blind children and teenagers. Another listening session was arranged in Goethe Institute in Morocco, 2014.
A subsequent project made ‘Momo’ CD available online in MP3 form

في نفس العام ، نظم معهد جوته في دمشق جلسة استماع لجمعيات الأطفال والمراهقين المكفوفين. و تم ترتيب جلسة استماع أخرى في معهد غوته بالمغرب سنة 2014

First Arabic Version of the German/Italian Cartoon: The film was released in an open free show at Cham Cinema in Damascus, 2006. During the premiere, packages containing the film, the audio CD and the book were distributed free of charge after being available in Dar Al-Fikr center for nominal prices.
أول نسخة عربية من الرسوم المتحركة الألمانية / الإيطالية: تم طرح الفيلم في عرض مجاني مفتوح في سينما الشام بدمشق عام 2006. وخلال العرض الأول تم توزيع حزم تحتوي على الفيلم والقرص الصوتي والكتاب مجانًا بعد توفره في مركز دار الفكر بأسعار رمزية
