Everyone was asking us, from artists to audience:
Physical theater! What does it mean?
كان الجميع يسألنا ، بدءًا من الفنانين وانتهاءً بالجمهور: المسرح الحركي ! ماذا يعني ذلك؟
This workshop was our first step in the field of training. Since we were the only specialists in physical theater at the time, it was important for us to start workshops so that we could do our part in strengthening the presence and promotion of this art form. Therefore, we worked on a project that included three workshops, and this was the first of them
We started working with Syrian and Lebanese actors who are students and graduates of art colleges and interested in contemporary experiences. The trainees tested the tools of physical theatre , and created scenes based on stories/events from their lives using small lights , and were responsible for lighting the post- workshop performance.
This workshop put both of the trainees and us in an artistic research experiment with which we began to test our work methodology.
كانت هذه الورشة خطوتنا الأولى في مجال التدريب. نظرًا لأننا كنا المتخصصين الوحيدين في المسرح الحركي في ذلك الوقت، كان من المهم بالنسبة لنا أن نبدأ ورش العمل حتى نتمكن من القيام بدورنا في تعزيز حضور هذا الشكل الفني والترويج له.لذلك عملنا على مشروع تضمن ثلاث ورش عمل ، وكانت هذه أولها
بدأنا العمل مع ممثلين سوريين ولبنانيين من طلاب وخريجي كليات الفنون المهتمين بالتجارب المعاصرة
اختبر المتدربون أدوات المسرح الحركي ، و خلقوا مشاهد مبنية على قصص / أحداث من حياتهم باستخدام أضواء صغيرة ، وكانوا مسؤولين عن إضاءة أداء ما بعد ورشة العمل
وضعتنا هذه الورشة و كذلك المتدربين في تجربة بحثية فني بدأنا بها اختبار منهجية عملنا

Post-workshop performance was presented in September 2001 at French Culture Center in Damascus, and in March 2002 at Beirut Theater, Beirut.
