The Research is exploring the camera as a living element within the filmed physical stage performance that holds the possibility of interacting with the performer through action, reaction, response and movements according to the choreography driven by the content of the performance.

Through this research we explored:

• The possibility of the camera to transcend its role as a conveyor of the theme and movement and become a part of it.
• The techniques that preserve the spectator’s experience of watching a live performance, and how will this affect his reception.

This research aimed to:

• A unique and experimental artistic identity that can be developed
• Approaching to Theater techniques in shooting process and camera use.
• Raising the quality and the quantity of our filmed work .
• Reaching a larger audience in the region and abroad.

Results
Four videos shot in “One Shot” a single, continuous recording from the camera, which has built the basic block of the work, with a total duration of 18 minutes.

النتائج
أربعة مقاطع فيديو تم تصويرها بتقنية “اللقطة الواحدة” وهي عبارة عن تسجيل واحد متواصل من الكاميرا، والتي شكلت اللبنة الأساسية للعمل، بزمن كلي وقدره 18 دقيقة

This research was achieved with the support of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) within Arts and Culture Entrepreneurship program 2022.

The practical aspect of the research was held from September 30 to 7 October 2023

The research finished with an evaluation session held on October 29, 2023, and a teaser was released on January 22, 2024,

اختُتم البحث بجلسة تقييم عُقدت في 29 أكتوبر 2023، وأطلق إعلان عن البحث في 22 كانون الثاني 2024

A focus group was formed from the public of different ages, specialties and backgrounds. Reactions were monitored and results discussed in a viewing session held on January 26, 2024.

تم تشكيل مجموعة تركيز من الجمهور من مختلف الأعمار والتخصصات والخلفيات، وتم رصد ردود الفعل ومناقشة النتائج في جلسة مشاهدة عقدت في 26 كانون الثاني 2024
