Hoor Malas

Hoor had B.A in dance  from the Dance Department of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts -Damascus 2007

She participated in several  workshops in France with  Rosella Dance School - Cannes 2009 , in  Denmark with Batsheva Company at Dance studio- Copenhagen 2004, in UK with Akram Khan Dance Company - Birmingham 2008. in Syria with Christophe Devue , Hela Fatumi , Russell Malifent Dance Company , Samir Akika Dance Company in Damascus, and  Henri Oguike Dance Company- Damascus and UK.

She was Co-founder of Sima Dance Company 2006- 2013 company where she also worked as a Modern Dance Instructor, Choreography implementer and Dancer .She worked as Modern Dance Instructor with  Ornina Theatre  Dance Company 2011 – 2012 and choreographed eight pieces in Ornina’s ‘A message of peace’.

Hoor was a member of the Choreography team in both Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Handball championship in 2014. And  The opening ceremony of the Arab Olympic Games 2011 in Doha – Qatar

As a Choreographer and Dancer she presented various works in theatre in Damascus ‘Tiamo’ 2009, ‘Moment’ 2010,  and  in Beirut ‘A woman's dairies’ 2011 , ‘Hackpolitik’ with the People Movers dance company, Boston 2013. ‘Above Zero’ with Koon Theater Company 2014.

She started a collaboration with the Syrian director Mayar Alexan in 2018 where they have presented so far two shows, "Three Seconds" and "Hanging”.

She is a teacher of contemporary dance and release technique in High institute of Dramatic Art - Dance department since 2009 till now.
